139: Roller Coaster Healing

I discovered-

if you are scared,

or grieving,

or weary of the world and the way it is,

then you should ride a roller coaster.

And when you get to the top you should scream-

all the way down.

And cry and laugh and let your noise be scattered

and let it ricochet off the clouds all the way up to God.

And when you’re done screaming out all your fear

put your hands up and throw your head back

and soak in the thrill of being alive.

Then do it again and again and again

until the park closes

or your adrenaline insists on rest.

Whatever you do-

don’t stop chasing the high moments.

Don’t stop being alive.
