215: It's About Damn time

For dinner to be ready, for the end of body shaming, for summer thunderstorms, for the peaches to ripen, for you to call me back, for a checkup appointment, for a quiet morning, for a higher white blood cell count, for the fireflies to return, for the coffee to brew, for this week’s therapy, for equal pay, for the train to arrive, for migrants to make it safely, for the end of variants, for children to stop dying in classrooms, for my body to feel safe in this country, for the feeling that we belong to one another to sink past the surface level and deep into our bones.
